When asked to create a poster for a nonprofit organization, I chose to highlight Planned Parenthood. Creating a graphic image juxtaposing female anatomy with AK-47s, the most commonly sold assault rifle in the United States. Together these images initiate a conversation concerning the over-legislation of women's reproductive right in comparison to the relatively loose regulations put on the sale of assault weapons. This 18x24" poster attempts to contribute to the ever growing dialogue about female health and well-being, featuring an op-ed article written by Amanda Marcotte, originally posted on Rewire, which can be read in it's entirety here.
